A Customize​d Boarding Solution

Choose  Cath Lair Farms to look after your horse and keep them healthy, safe, and comfortable at all times. We offer long or short-term boarding services with the room and flexibility to provide your horse with everything you need and nothing you don't.


We're here to provide the best possible care using customized stabling options that suit your horse’s needs. Our stabling options include a barn with heated 12 x 12 stalls, 80 x 100 individual paddocks (coming soon), and two 100 x 150 group paddocks. There are also two 5-acre pastures available for daily turnout if desired. Boarders are free to use our 125 x 350 over-sized outdoor arena, the 60 x 120 covered arena, or the 50 foot round pen.

Our Story

Cath Lair Farms is an Alaskan-grown, family-run boarding facility in North Pole, Alaska. Our Journey started in 2002 when we purchased our Home Farm. The 20-acre homestead came to us as an uncleared land, but acre by acre we cleared the trees, planted pasture, and made a home for ourselves and our horses.


We began boarding horses almost accidentally when a coworker needed a place for her animals while she was going through some life changes. One thing led to another, and we have been boarding horses for more than 10 years now.


As our farm grew, so has the need to be able to provide more options for our clients. While the Home Farm was an idyllic place in the woods with amazing trails and places for adventuring, our clients started to ask for more.


We moved our boarding facilities to The Stables late in the summer of 2018. We now have training facilities that so many of our clients desire. We kept the Home Farm for long-term pasture board, trail access, and hay production to round out Cath Lair Farms' full potential.
